Clubs in Texas:
There is a new club that runs mod-lites with dwarf cars. http://www.ntsrs.org/ It is in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area.
Texana Club runs exclusively in Edna west of Houston. Texana rules were used to develop the "common" rules and cars meeting the common rules can run with Texana. http://www.texanaracewaypark.org/rules/rules_dwarf1.htm
DCRST still runs some air cooled engines. In 2011 it added fuel injected stock 1000 cc engines. They still run street tires with a weight penality for FI. They run south of Austin to Corpus Christie.http://www.dcrst.com/ Starting in 2012 they will be running Goodyear dirt tires on dirt tracks.
Lonestar added Fuel Injected engines in 2011. Again, with a weight penality. They run exclusively in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. http://www.lsdcc.com/

The common rules accept DCRST and Lonestar engines plus most stock fuel Injected motors. Everyone allows after market ignitions, carburetors, and "built motors" to achieve similar performance and cost for older motors. DCRST, West Texas and Lonestar run street tires and everyone else runs racing tires. Street tires are a performance disadvantage but help make older cars more competetive. .
